The Big Chef @Gourmet Town Tokyo Japan (1)
Saturday, 26 November 2011 | posted by Simply bakes

I am finally back from our 8 days holiday in Japan! Its been almost a week and everything still feels like a dream to me. Japan was indeed a very memorable experience and i am very grateful that i got a chance to have gone on this trip with my family:D

There is a restaurant in Tokyo that my family and i chanced upon one day that i wished the whole world would know about it haha. The Big Chef restaurant is located just opposite Shibuya 109 shopping mall in gourmet town on the 7th floor. The food there is absolutely delicious and it certainly lifted our spirits up especially after a long and tiring day shopping on the streets of Tokyo. We were first served with a fresh salad to wet our appetite and it was the deal i tell ya. Its is light and refreshing and has a really interesting and surprising flavour. I think that curry powder is tossed into it which is why the dish was so intriguing.

Following that, we ordered a variety of Japanese hamburgers, Omu rice etc. I swear, the food was so good it had my father (a hard to please man) really happy and we had nothing but praises for it. We had thick juicy beef patties with bags full of flavours...

Tender meat, fried ebi which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and velvety smooth sauce to tie all the components together..

The omu rice was awesome with the eggs cooked to perfection and everything just literally melts in your mouth. It has been such a long time since i have eaten meat that was not tough or chewy. The kinds which i had to chew in my mouth for ages and still cannot force it down my throat. ._.

It was definitely money well spent at the big chef restaurant and if i had the chance, i would go back there again and shake the chef's hand haha.
